FIRST LOOK: New "Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle" Movie Trailer

There has been plenty of talk about the "Jumanji" spinoff, but we haven't got much in the way of plot. I admit that I have been apprehensive about where they were going to go with the movie given the original's history and beloved star, Robin Williams.

Now, the first trailer has been released and we have a better idea of how they revamped the story--and I confess, I am actually very excited. This definitely not a remake--it is the next evolution. Unlike the 1995 original, this time it's a video game version of Jumanji that sucks players in. The high schoolers that start playing the game turn into their game avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. So far, there doesn't seem to be any reference to the original movie, besides the name of the game and the movie itself. But I am guessing that they are probably keeping any references or nods to the original and/or Robin Williams under wraps until the movie comes out, which is now set for December 20th.
