More People Than Expected Have Cut Their Cable Cord This Year

If you are one of those people who decided to save a couple of bucks and ditched your cable this year, you are definitely not alone.

According to Tech Crunch, a new report out from eMarketer says more and more people are choosing to forego cable and satellite TV services thanks to alternatives like YouTube TV. Initial estimates predicted that just over 15 million people would cut the cord this year, but now it is estimated that more than 22 million have cancelled their service, which is an increase of about 1/3 over last year. That brings the total number of people to approximately 56.6 million that are going without cable or satellite TV.
