UPDATE: New Statements Say Steve Perry Won't Be Performing With Journey At Rock Hall Ceremony

UPDATE 04/07/2017 4:30 PM EST – So…it looks like the big Journey/Steve Perry performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony won’t be happening after all…at least according to new reports.

Per TMZ, Journey spokesman Larry Solters says Perry will not be performing tonight.  TMZ also notes the band “knows nothing about Perry performing and Perry’s own reps know nothing about it as well.”  Sources involved in the ceremony production said they were told Perry would be performing, but the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame brass say otherwise.

So, once again, it seems as if everything is up in the air.

Don’t know about you, but we won't stop believin' in this potential performance until the ceremony is over.

Believe it!  For the first time in nearly 20 years, Steve Perry will front Journey as the band gets inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tonight in Brooklyn, N.Y.

TMZ broke the good news this afternoon.  The band will be performing a three song set that includes “Lights,” “Separate Ways” and “Don’t Stop Believin.’”  While it hasn’t been confirmed which song will feature Perry, he will be performing at least one song in the set.

What song do you hope Perry sings tonight at the Rock Hall induction ceremony?  Let us know in the comments!
