Walmart is amping up its' battle against Amazon. We've seen those Amazon self-service "Lockers" in Whole Foods and other locations. Well, now Walmart wants to get in on that game, so they're adding their own.
That's according to Business Insider that reports that some big orange self-service pickup kiosks will start appearing in Walmart stores, so customers can conveniently--and more quickly--pick up their online orders.
Walmart made the announcement yesterday that "pick up towers" will be added to 700 stores at some point this year.
This underscores a recent survey from HRC Retail Advisory that found that 95% of shoppers want to be left alone and 85% even said they preferred to find a price by themselves.
