Amazon has started a wider roll out of its' Amazon Key In Car Delivery pilot program that launched last year, in which you can have your Amazon Prime packages delivered into your car.
According to Fox News, the program currently works with 2015 or later General Motors vehicles with a current OnStar account and Volvo vehicles with their On Call connected app. Those programs can unlock your vehicle to give the delivery driver access to your trunk to deliver your package. If the package will not fit in the trunk, then it will be placed in the main cabin of you vehicle. In-Car Delivery is available in 37 select cities around the country, including Tampa and Sarasota.
There is no additional charge for the feature, but you do have to have Amazon Prime and download an additional app--Amazon Key--to activate it. Click Amazon In-Car Delivery for more info on the program.
