You pack your lunch, try to stay away from the snack machine & other pitfalls, so you think you're doing OK when it comes to eating right while you're at work. Probably not. That's according to Hello Giggles that says a new CDC report on data from a Department of Agriculture study of over 5,000 workers finds that many of us are eating a lot of unhealthy food at work thanks to office celebrations, meetings & coworkers leading us down the dark path with the yummy snacks they bring in.
Among other things, the research found that 20% of people get free food at work (that's full of salt and refined carbs) that adds around 1,300 extra calories to their weekly diets.
